PDF documents can be retrieved easily using the free Adobe Reader software by utilising its search facility, searching entire directories for document content, keywords or by file name.
Compact are able to scan documents employing the latest OCR techniques to automatically index documents to make them editable, searchable or leave them image only. This can be achieved from any paper document or digital file.
Compact's PDF service can automatically index every word on each page of a document while not altering the documents appearance on screen.
Microfilm and Microfiche can be scanned then converted to the PDF format for use with Adobe Reader.
We can also scan Diazo Copies (duplicates) to any digital format including PDF.
PDF files produced by Compact incorporate the latest features, and are technically advanced using JBIG2 and Jpeg 2000 and the latest compression techniques for minimum file size and maximum image quality, thus saving space on your servers and keeping email attachments small.
As well as being provided as part of Compact's total document scanning service, these are also offered as stand-alone services to customers who already have their documents and images held in a PDF format.
